Your hormones play a crucial role in your overall health. Hormones, the body's chemical messengers, are integral components of the endocrine system. When they're "off" it can make a big impact.
Hormones govern a wide range of functions, from hunger and metabolism to growth, reproduction, and even emotional responses. The delicate equilibrium of hormones is essential for maintaining health, as they influence almost every cell, organ, and function in our bodies.
An imbalance in hormone levels can significantly impact the body's normal functioning. This disruption can result from various factors, such as chronic stress, unhealthy toxins, or underlying health conditions. Symptoms of hormonal imbalances are diverse, reflecting the affected hormone’s role in the body. For example, an imbalance in thyroid hormones can lead to weight changes, fatigue, and mood disturbances, while imbalances in reproductive hormones might affect fertility, menstrual cycles, or sexual function.
HORMONES & WHAT THEY DO:
ESTROGEN - This hormone, primarily associated with female reproductive health, plays a critical role in menstrual cycle regulation, pregnancy, and menopause, as well as non-reproductive functions like bone health and skin integrity.
TESTOSTERONE - Central to male reproductive development, testosterone governs features like muscle mass, voice deepening, and facial hair growth. It also contributes to sexual desire and mood regulation in both men and women.
CORTISOL - Often termed the 'stress hormone,' cortisol manages how your body uses carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It also regulates inflammation, blood pressure, and sleep/wake cycles, becoming particularly active during stress.
INSULIN - A key regulator of blood sugar levels, insulin facilitates the transportation of glucose from the blood into cells, ensuring the body's energy needs are met and preventing excessively high blood sugar levels.
The Dutch Complete test is a dry urine hormone test for women. It gives us the most accurate picture of your hormone levels.

Everything we do at Results Norfolk begins with a personalized, private consultation with Jami. At your consult we will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and overall health.
After your consult we will send you home with the DUTCH COMPLETE TEST. This is a dry urine test you complete at home over a period of time and then send to our lab. We use the DUTCH COMPLETE TEST in lieu of a traditional blood test to get the most robust and complete picture of what your hormones are doing.
Once your DUTCH COMPLETE TEST results come back to us, we will read the results and schedule a follow-up. During your follow-up we will discuss your results with you and tailor a treatment plan designed exclusively for you.
YOUR WELLNESS OPTIONS
